Federal Bank is the largest traditional private sector bank in the country. The Federal Bank Limited (the erstwhile Travancore Federal Bank Limited) was incorporated on 28/4/1931 at Nedumpuram,a place near Tiruvalla in Central Travancore. Its Regd. office was shifted into Aluva in On 18/5/1945.Federal Bank became a Scheduled Commercial Bank in 1970.
